We invite you to join us in actively making a difference in the small business sector by working one-to-one with business owners and mentors. Here are two great ways to facilitate small business success and create opportunities for growing America’s local economies.
Are you a business owner with a wealth of experience that you can share to help others begin and grow their businesses? Do you want to give back and feel the satisfaction of helping make a difference in the lives of American business owners and their communities?
Consider volunteering by becoming a SCORE mentor and guiding business owners on their entrepreneurial journey. As a volunteer mentor, you can:
- Share your success and expertise with people just getting started
- Lead workshops and seminars
- Provide online or telephone mentoring directly from your home or office
- Serve in a leadership capacity with SCORE
- Serve in another capacity at SCORE (Marketing, IT, administration, finance, fundraising, HR, etc.)
- Have flexibility with your volunteering time

SCORE Chapters frequently build local fundraising programs to help support service delivery, volunteer recruitment and other mission critical activities in their own communities. The SCORE Foundation is a resource for best practices for Chapters engaging in local fundraising.
